Reception is the first step along the Paxton learning journey. The stimulating child-lead environments enable all children to settle quickly, build a solid foundation and develop a readiness for future progress.
In Reception, staff complete an Early Years Foundation Stage Profile for each child. The Profile contains examples and samples of children’s learning and attainment. It also helps staff to plan an effective and appropriate curriculum for the next stage of their journey as the child moves in to Year 1.
The Early Years curriculum consists of three Prime areas and four Specific areas.
