On Wednesday 13th July, we will host our annual parents meetings from 2:30pm - 6:45pm. This will be an opportunity parents and carers to discuss your child’s progress to date and their end of year annual report.
At Paxton, we love nothing more than to curl up and lose ourselves in the pages of a good book. To ensure that the children do not run out of opportunities to read over the Summer, we are championing the Summer Reading Challenge.
This week children across Key Stage 2 have been selected to represent Paxton at the Croydon Primary Schools Championships which will take place at Croydon Sports Arena.
On Monday (13 June), 36 children from Years 5 and 6 will venture off on a week’s residential to Wick Court Farm, Gloucester. Accompanied by Miss Nurser, Miss Adekola, Mr Robertson, Ms Moses and Miss Linke. The children will swap their pens and pencils for wellington boots and fresh air.
At Paxton, we pride ourselves on building relationships which empower our children and support our families. Project 4 Youth Empowerment (P4YE) is a South London-based organisation started by four friends to support young people, families and the community to create opportunities and build brighter futures.
On Friday 27th May, to celebrate the unprecedented anniversary milestone of the Queen’s Platinum 70th Jubilee, children will be able to come to school ready for a royal party and dressed in their smartest attire.
After the success of the Heyday Film Fest at the BFI on the Southbank, Paxton will hold its very own premiere of ‘Inspirational People: Who Inspires You?' on Thursday 26th May at 5:30pm.
On 6th February this year, Her Majesty the Queen became the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee, marking 70 years of service to the people of the United Kingdom, the Realms and the Commonwealth.
Last Thursday (April 21st), thanks to Heyday UK and nine children from Paxton, were able to swap their pens and pencils and joined children from 15 other schools across London, including Chesterton and Ravenstone, to attend the British Film Institute (BFI) on the Southbank.
We're really pleased to announce that the school has received a letter from the School Food Matters organisation to let us know that we had been successful in our bid for a School Garden Grant.
Just when we thought things couldn’t get any better, we got the green light to build our Early Years Playground. After 18 months of conversations, emails, visits and telephone calls, we have finally been able to secure a beautiful state of the art, fully equipped playground for our Reception children.

This week members of the School Council will work with Jack from Heydays films. As part of the Heydays Fest, the Year 5 and 6 members, will swap their pens and pencils for cameras and microphones and become directors of their very own short film.
