At Paxton Academy, we have a curriculum that celebrates diversity and has been carefully designed to ensure that it is relatable and representative of our community. The curriculum is further enhanced with supporting high quality texts which reflect the realities of our children. We believe that this bespoke curriculum creates a platform for the children to find their voice, gain confidence and prepare them for the ever-changing world in which they live.
We strive to ensure that the community is represented in all that we do.
We are proud to have a 'Paxton Celebration Calendar' which highlights the key national events that we feel the children should learn about in assemblies and/or through whole school events. The Celebration Calendar was carefully created by the staff team with the support of the LAC, the School Council and the Parent Community and it is reviewed on a regular basis to take account of changes to key dates and events.
We understand the importance of acknowledging and respecting the various religions, traditions and beliefs around the world and encourage inter-faith conversations so we can work towards a more harmonious and inclusive society. We know that raising awareness about certain issues will foster cultural understanding, facilitate dialogue, encourage tolerance and reinforce our school values.
The Celebration Calendar is a constant reminder of the wonderful mosaic of cultures represented within Paxton.

We are always looking for parents/carers, family members and/or members of the local community to come into school to help us bring these key events to life so we would love to hear from you.
